TT Industrial Cyber-physical Systems and Industrial Agents – II

Stephan Wein, M.Sc. is a research associate at the Chair of Machine Tools at the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering (WZL), after received the M.Sc. degrees in mechanical engineering from the RWTH Aachen University in 2015. He was student worker from 2011 to 2015 at the Frauenhofer Institute for Laser Technology and the WZL. His research interests include laser-welding processes, autonomous systems, Internet of Things, robotics, semantic modeling of industrial components for automated processes, edge computing and architecture design for automation and control.

Gustavo Funchal studied Control and Automation Engineering at the Federal University of Technology –Paraná. During the engineering course in Brazil, he did a student exchange in France, where he studied Mechanical Engineering and Automation at the National Institute of Applied Sciences in Rennes. Last year, he carried out a dual diploma program at the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, developing a master’s thesis in the areas of intelligent systems, multi-agent systems, cyber physical systems and industry 4.0. During his master’s degree, he published articles in the field of cyber physical systems in the IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology (ICIT2020) and in the International Journal of Artificial Intelligence 2020.
